"I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS), MS doesn't have me." That statement helps me out alot. As well as knowing that I have impacted the lives of so many men, women, and juveniles throught my personal and professional life. What is MS? An autoimmune illness/disease that affects the central nervouse system (CNS). MS causes lesions on the brain and spine which makes up the CNS. Lesions are scar tissue. The lesions cause everyday difficulty because the CNS controls everything in your body.
I move slower than usual, but it is my determination and persistence that helps me finish what I started. The goals that I set and my go getter attitude that assists me in completing my goals. MS is a continuing obstacle that comes with challenges (new, old, different, physical, and emotional) each passing day, each passing year. The diagnosis is devastating and I turned my devistation into motivation. So can you, whether it is MS or not, disability or not.
